Action Paintball is Proud to Announce: The 2012 Total War Scenario Games Series


How will The Total War Series Work?
There are 4 Combat theatres in the Total War Series:
1. Tehran, Iran - SASR vs. Iranian Special Forces - Feb 26, 2012
2. Pyongyang, North Korea - SASR vs. North Korean Army - May 27, 2012
3. Mogadishu, Somalia - SASR vs. Somalian Rebel Forces - Sept 2, 2012
4. Sydney/Perth , Australia – SASR vs. Russian Spetsnaz - Dec 2, 2012

You will get 3 x 1 hour games at each event, with each game being mission or theme oriented. There will be short break in between to secure food and supplies! Point at each event will be accumulated for a total at the end of the last event, and the Winner of the Total War Series will be announced!
We are going to change a few things up for 2012, firstly we are going provide on field safety tents for each team to go to in case of goggle cleaning, or fogging. We are also going to put scuba tanks in each tent for gas refills. The fields will be clean, fully marked with Team Banners, and boundary tape. The fields will also have many different styles of bunkers to play! Expect the same service with referees and amenities that you can only get at Action Paintball Games.
The Games:
Each Theatre of War will have 3 games lasting 1 hour each.
-smoke, pyro technics, sound effects, long battles and 3 x 1 hour games per event.
There will be 10 minute respawns for each game, so respawns at 10, 20, 30,40, and 50 minute points during the games 1 hour time limit.
There will be at least 1 instant respawn base per team on the field, if the player touches his own base he is instantly back in the game.
Point System and Rules:
Enemy Kill = +2 Points
General Kill = +15 Points
Leave the Field = -1 Point
Objective Held = +30 points per Objective at the end of Each Game
Special Operations = +10 Points Per Op Completed*
* To Be Announced at each event.
The team with the most points at the end of the event will be declared the winner of that Theatre of War. Points will be posted on Monday after the event on Facebook, and www.australiapaintball.com Tons of different prizes on offer!
How do the teams work?
There are 2 teams in Total War. The Australian Special Air Services Regiment (SASR)(Tan), and the Enemy Forces(Red), the enemy forces will assume different armies at each scenario. The teams will be the same and the Scenarios the same in both Sydney and Perth! You do not need to be part of a team or unit; all you have to do is register and show up! You don’t even need your own gear or gun! Pricing is for people with their own gear and for people with no gear. Pick your side, Australian Special Air Service (SASR) or enemy forces! Enemy Forces will change at each event to the forces of that specific country. Regardless of the enemy team (Somali, Iran, Korean, or Russian) you are accumulating points for the enemy team. You may play on either team at any event, you just have to pick your side by registering online. Each team will also have 2 special players, they are as follows:
Special Team Roles*
General: The General is responsible for all troop movements and may only be eliminated by a vital shot, torso and head hits only. He will be marked by a Special Shermagh. If you shoot a General you will score +15 points for your team.*
Scout: Each team will be allowed one scout. The scout will leave 30 seconds before the start of the game, and be able to relay vital intelligence to the Captain and General for game plans and strategy. There will be no extra points for shooting the scout.*

Oklahoma D-Day is not your typical “Big Game” where hundreds or even a thousand paintball players show up and attack one specific objective or play capture the flag. With 3,500 to 4,000 players that come to this event annually, it would be uncontrollable mass chaos. Rather, like the major campaigns of WWII, several battles unfold across the field throughout the day.

Valken Sports’ Redemption and Graffiti paintballs, the “Official Paintball of Oklahoma D-Day” is also a distributor of thousands of items from over 50 manufacturers, including Planet Eclipse, Dangerous Power, Sly, Stiffi, J&J, Crossfire, Guerrilla Air, Worthington, Azodin, Kingman, Exalt and many, many more.

According to Pro Paintball insiders, Tippman Sports has purchased ANGEL Paintball Sports (APS). A few weeks ago we learned that APS had ceased operations. Jay from Angel Paintball Sports mentioned that a further update would be made available by APS office in the UK.



While some details about the transaction have yet to emerge, Tippmann is rumored to have acquired both the intellectual property surrounding the Angel markers and rights to the Angel Eye goggle system. Formerly vaporware, this oft-discussed but never delivered goggle system will hopefully make it to the market sometime next year; our insiders report that the mask experienced significant functionality and performance issues that rendered it incapable of passing ASTM testing.

The acquisition of Angel Paintball Sports / WDP marks yet another key pickup for Tippmann, following the recent purchase of NXe last year, and the attempted purchase of ProCaps LP just last week. Tippmann Sports itself is no stranger to the merits of corporate buyouts–having been purchased in 2004 by investment giant, Summit Partners.

The addition of yet another tournament brand to the Tipmmann stable (in addition to WAS/Wicked Air Sportz and NXe) spells an interesting future for Tippmann–are we seeing early indicators of an entry to the tournament market? Are high-end paintball guns in Tippmann’s future?

Owners of Redz International Arrested

The owners of Redz International, Iric Cohen and Richard Hughes have been arrested for outstanding warrants and charged with First Degree Sexual Assault, First Degree Kidnapping and Second Degree Conspiracy. Bail was set at $400,000 each and currently both men are in Burlington County Jail (PA) awaiting trial.

The police investigation is ongoing, so no further details about their alleged crime are available. To see the full story,

Owners of Redz International arrested

It looks like the 2012 Super 7s series is going to be huge.... We have already more than 22 teams committed to playing round one with many of the regulars to confirm their attendance so numbers will be up substantially on the successful 2011 season.... which is terrific....

We have had enquiries from new teams all over the country as well as several from Sydney that are forming for the first time......

If any of these teams are still looking for players please let us know. We have had many individual players that are looking for a team to play the 2011 Super 7s call and/or email us asking for assistance.

I want to also make a call out to any Novice teams or players who have thought about giving paintball competition a go but were not sure on how to start! Our new novice division is for you. We supply all the guns.. which are all the same for every team so it is a game of skill.... This is where the future paintball super stars will come from and we are excited to have this come on board. If you know of a couple of mates who are thinking of trying comp paintball then please let them know about our new exciting division. It is only a one day event, and is very cheap to play, expecially if you pay your entry by the earlybird deadline.....

A little birdie told me today that Angel Sports UK has closed it's doors for the very last time.
The company has filed for bankruptcy and will not be doing anymore business.

Has anyone else heard anything on this subject?

Planet Eclipse 20th Anniversary Collectors Edition


In 1991 Julian and Ledz started a small Paintball company called Paintball Planet. As Paintballers, the goal of this company was to get the greatest and latest paintball gear from around the world to Paintballers in the UK.

Over the last twenty years the company has evolved, grown, and changed its name to Planet Eclipse that now makes one of the finest lines of Paintball Markers and accessories the World has ever seen.

The core goals of Planet from 1991 are still the very same goals we have in place today. We are constantly pushing ourselves and our products to bring today's players the very best that we can offer them. We still play and we still realise that playing Paintball in whatever arena you choose, is all about having fun. Winning is fantastic and Planet Eclipse teams around the world bring back trophy after trophy and series championships and we hope they have still have fun doing it.

Not everyone plays on one of our Pro teams, but everyone deserves the same level of performance, quality, reliability, customer service and support. These simple core goals have been our mantra since 1991 and we will fight to uphold them into the distant future.

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary we have taken our Flagship markers the Ego and Geo and created only twenty perfect pairs. Each pair is presented in a hand crafted, mahogany finish wooden display case and comes with both the CSL EGO and the GEO 2.1 with custom milling and custom graphic anodising. Both markers will have a complete barrel kit and carbon fibre tips (three backs and two tips per marker) they also have matching numbers (as well as the normal serial numbers) from one to twenty giving them that extra special unique quality. Planet Eclipse will also create a special page on the web site listing the lucky owners of these very rare, very special, perfect pairs.






So… the question is how much and how do you get your perfect pair?

Well, that isn't going to be easy. Out of the twenty perfect pairs of 20th Anniversary Edition Collector's Item markers there will ONLY be a few sets sold to the general public.


There will be two or three sets that will go up for auction for collectors to bid on.

There will be two or three sets that will be donated to charities.

There will be two or three that will be sold via the Planet Eclipse web site.

One Set is reserved for a very special New Year's competition.


The remaining pairs will end up in the hands of people that have worked with us and been by Planet Eclipse's side and in the trenches since the very beginning. There is a huge list of people that we need to thank for all of the hard work that they do tirelessly supporting Planet Eclipse but these 20th Anniversary Edition sets unfortunatley can't get to everyone that deserves one, so to everyone that works with and for Planet Eclipse, be it on the fields teching; in Planets offices and production facilities; on the forums; in the local stores; the big distributors or the players on the field. We thank each and every one of you. Without the people that have stood alongside Planet Eclipse believing in what we do we would not be here twenty years on.
